Northeast Texas Air Care (NETAC) is a voluntary, cooperative
association of local governments and industries that was formed to fill
the need of a more organized and comprehensive approach to improving air
quality based on regional needs. To date NETAC and its members have been
proactive in the 5-county region achieving attainment of both the EPA’s
1-Hour and 8-Hour Ozone Standards. NETAC remains committed to ensuring air
quality standards are met in the future. This commitment ensures not only
public health, but also allows the region to have positive economic growth.
NETAC is administered by the East Texas Council of Governments (ETCOG).
